Teaching Assistants & Apprentices

Marilyn ArnoldMarilyn Arnold is a recent graduate of the HSPVA theatre department and has TA'd several different classes with MST since June of 2012. She's always excited to start working with new creative artists and can't wait to start the summer!

Maddy Auchter Maddy Auchter is a rising junior at Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina where she is pursuing a BFA degree in Musical Theatre. She is a native Houstonian and graduated from the theatre department at the High School for Performing and Visual Arts. She has performed at HITS Theatre, The Children’s Museum of Houston, and Opera in the Heights, but has never worked with Main Street Theater, until now! She has seen countless shows at Main Street and befriended many theater artists who got their start at Main Street, so she is super excited to work for such an admirable company.

James Boehme James Boehme, a rising junior at St. John’s School, first discovered his love of all things theatrical when he auditioned for the middle school musical during his 8th grade. Ever since that experience, James has dedicated himself fully to theatre. He has performed in numerous productions (recent examples include: You Can’t Take It With You and The Drowsy Chaperone) and has worked actively on in his school's technical theatre department. James is excited to join Main Street Theater, and he is honored to be able to help fellow thespians have fun by further developing their passions.

Emma Davey has worked at Main Street Theater as a TA since 2011. Previously, she was a camper here since 2001, so she knows this camp very well. Emma graduated from Episcopal High School in 2014 where she was involved in theater, appearing in shows such as The Crucible and Seussical. She is now attending Oberlin College. She is excited to spend another summer at Main Street!

Danny DyerDanny Dyer has been a part of three MST Theater for Youth productions in the past two seasons-- Pippi Longstocking (Constable Clang), Flat Stanley (Arthur) and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing (Fudge). Over the course of these productions, he has found a love for bringing theater to young audiences and couldn't be more excited to continue that through the Main Street Summer Camp. Danny is a recent graduate from Sam Houston State University with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. While at Sam Houston and in the year since graduation he has appeared in many productions around Houston including Exit 27 (Ryker) with The Landing Theatre Company; Flat Stanley (Stanley), Man of La Mancha and Spamalot with Theatre Under the Stars; Odd and the Frost Giants (Odd) and Panto Mother Goose (Doc) with Stages Repertory Theatre; The Foreigner (Ellard) at Texas Repertory Theatre; and Das Rheingold, Cosi Fan Tutte and A Christmas Carol with Houston Grand Opera. He can also be seen later this summer as The Proprietor in Standing Room Only's Assassins. Here's to a wonderful summer!

Frances Hellums Frances Hellums is a rising junior at St. John’s School where she is an active participant in every aspect in the Fine Arts department from choir to band to dance to theater to stage tech. Her recent performance credits include: The Drowsy Chaperone (Mrs. Tottendale), Talking With (Dragons), The 39 Steps (Mrs. Memory), and The Ferris Wheel (Doreen). She can’t wait to start her first summer with Main Street Theater and is thrilled to have the privilege to help teach, and share her love of performing and the arts with your kids!

Bridget KennedyBridget Kennedy is a junior at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where she studies classical voice. This year, she was named a member of the prestigious Texas All State Mixed Choir. She also attended Main Street Theater Summer Camp as a child for 7 years and is excited to work this year as a teaching assistant.
Shannon LowensteinShannon Lowenstein is eighteen years old and will be attending A&M Corpus Christi next year. Her introduction to theater began when she was five. She performed at the JCC as well as Main Street. Her first stage managing experience began at the JCC for three years. This is her fourth summer at Main Street as a Teaching Assistant. She is looking forward to a creative and fun summer with your kids, teaching them as well as learning from them.
Charles MedleyCharles "Chuck" Medley has been doing theater-related things ever since elementary school, where he was in a few school plays, and during the summer at Main Street Theater. Chuck is from Houston, Texas, and he currently resides in Springfield, Illinois. His love of theater brings him back to Main Street Theater each summer. He will be entering his third year of high school in the autumn.
Madeline NassifMadeline Nassif is excited to work at camp this summer and can't wait to see all the ideas and creativity the campers bring with them. In her free time she enjoys doing yoga and trying new food. Madi is going to be a senior at St. Agnes Academy in the fall.
Miguel Ruiz has been in theater since he first entered elementary school, and his passion keeps growing as he gets older. He loves theater, singing, and dancing, and has been a Main Street camper himself ever since he was old enough to go! He is excited to bring as much joy to the kids he teaches as he had as a camper.
Catherine TharpCatherine Tharp is a college student who will be heading into her junior year at Texas Christian University in the fall. This is her fourth year working as a Teacher’s Assistant for Main Street Theater and first year as a teacher. In the past, she has worked as Production Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager for Seussical the Musical, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Water Engine, Into the Woods, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead,The Tempest, and Drowsy Chaperone with her high school, Episcopal. Her other performances include: A Midsummer Night’s Dream with EHS, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown with St. Mark’s Church Theater, Godspell with HITS, Just So Stories, Magic City, Sherlock Holmes and the Baker Street Irregulars, Hamlet, Love's Labours Lost, and Macbeth with Main Street Theater (KOS), Doctor’s Dilemma and Richard the III in the MainStage productions at MST, and Grease with her middle school, First Presbyterian.
