Facades FX Makeup Lab & Creature Design(Special Effects Designer) Phil and Melissa Nichols are the brother/sister team of artists at Facades FX Makeup Lab & Creature Design studio. With over a quarter century of professional experience, this award-winning team has produced SFX makeup, and creatures for the motion picture industry, and professional theatre. Some of their credits include: “Powder”, “Jason’s Lyric”, “Arlington Road”, “Rough Riders”, “Boggy Creek (2010)”, “Renfield the Undead”(2011 Gold Remi winner for Best Special Effects Makeup / and Horror Feature Worldfest-Houston), “Psychic Experiment” and many others. The team has also provided makeup effects, props and puppets for “Crucifer of Blood”, “Cyrano de Bergerac”, “Ether Dome”, and ten more productions for The Alley Theatre. Andrew served as Head of Voice, Royal Shakespeare Company from 1990–2003 and was Assistant Voice Director to Cicely Berry, Royal Shakespeare Company from 1987–1990. He has co-directed/devised “Journeys,” “Words, Words, Words,” “More Words” and “Lifespan” with Cicely Berry for BBC World Service, awarded Bronze Medal, International Radio Festival, New York, 2000. Verse Consultant, Shakespeare in Love. Andrew teaches, lectures and voice coaches internationally with particular associations with Stella Adler Studio, Delaware University, NTS Canada and Guthrie Theater, Minneapolis where he’s coached Two Gentlemen of Verona, Henry V, Antony and Cleopatra, Comedy of Errors, Othello, As You Like It, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Other credits include Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s 2008: A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Clay Cart, Toronto/West End London production of The Lord of the Rings and “Triple Sensation” (TV) .
